皇家墨尔本理工大学（Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology），简称“RMIT”，是位于澳大利亚维多利亚州墨尔本的一所著名综合性公立大学，是全澳历史最悠久的高等学府之一，澳大利亚科技大学联盟成员。
墨尔本皇家理工大学开设了横跨三个学术领域的27个院系，开设有450多种课程，包括语言学习、大学预科、学士学位、研究生文凭、硕士和博士学位等各层次的课程。学校设有商学院、应用科学学院、艺术/设计和传播学院、建筑与环境学院、工程学院、生命科学学院、教育/语言与社区服务学院等7个学院，分别设有各种课程。
RMIT艺术与设计、建筑学为全球前20名专业。作为学校最王牌的专业，艺术与设计、建筑学在澳洲一直有口皆碑，其在QS学科排名中名列前茅也是众望所归。2014年国际设计生活杂志Jebiga将RMIT建筑学专业列入全球前十，共同跻身前十的包括英国剑桥大学、美国哈佛大学、麻省理工学院等。Jebiga评价RMIT建筑和设计学院是名副其实的全球一流建筑学院，享有盛名。
RMIT建筑学院的师生及校友经常被邀请出席全球知名的建筑界盛事，如意大利威尼斯、中国北京、荷兰鹿特丹举办的国际建筑双年展、巴黎蓬皮杜非标准化建筑创作展览和法国奥尔良建筑国际会展等。

学士学位（Bachelor Degree）：中国学生须先上1年大学预科然后从大学一年级开始就读（1年预科+3年本科），或者就读快捷课程（RMIT College）完成后直接升入大学第二年（1年快捷课程+2年本科）。
授课式硕士（Master by Coursework）：已获学士学位或荣誉学士学位或有丰富工作经验。
研究式硕士及博士（Master by Research & PHD）：一般要求已获授课式硕士学位。
